Description | The City of Naperville is accepting sealed bids from qualified vendors to supply labor, equipment, supplies and material associated with the Washington Street Sanitary Lateral Rehabilitation Project. The work generally includes the rehabilitation of approximately seventeen (17) existing sanitary sewer service laterals by utilizing the installation of cured in-place pipe (CIPP). This bid also includes installation of approximately eleven (11) Vac-A-Tee cleanouts and the installation of nine (9) CIPP spot liners to cover abandon laterals. All questions concerning this bid shall be submitted in writing at least five business days prior to the online bid opening to NAME at GayleS@naperville.il.us. The deadline for questions is THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 2022 by 12:00 p.m. It is the intent of this specification to provide for the rehabilitation of approximately seventeen (17) existing sanitary sewer service laterals by the installation of cured-inplace pipe (CIPP). Some of these laterals will have "Shorty" liners and some will have full length liners installed. Please refer to project maps (Attachment 1) and list of locations (Attachment 2). 2. This bid includes installation of approximately eleven (11) Vac-A-Tee cleanouts (Attachment 2). 3. This bid includes installation of approximately nine (9) LMK "CAP-A CONNECTIONS" CIPP Spot liners (Attachment 3). 4. This bid includes the potential of approximately fifteen (15) tee liner diameter transitions. 5. This bid includes the potential of approximately four (4) service laterals to be re-cut opening in existing CIPP main liner. 6. All work shall be in accordance with the instructions and recommended procedures of the product manufacturers. 7. It is the intent of the City to exercise control over the sequence of work. The contractor will be assigned batches of service laterals to be completed in the assigned order. These laterals will be geographically grouped so as to enable efficient operations with minimal travel between jobsites |
