Description

As per the owner the project has been canceled. This project will be rebid at a later date that has not yet been determined. Electronic versions of contract documents and drawings for the proposed work, which have been prepared by Robert A. Mullin, P.E., P.P, C.M.E., C.P.W.M., of the firm of Colliers Engineering & Design, DBA Maser Consulting, Inc., may be requested via email to dmartinock@collierseng.com. The Board of Education does not accept electronic email or facsimile submissions of bids. Bid Security will be in the amount of 10% of the total bid shall be supplied in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond, but not in excess of $20,000.00. The successful bidder is hereby notified that a performance bond for the full amount of the project is required. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of the Affirmative Action, N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 and N.J.A.C. 17-27-1 et seq., Prevailing Wage Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq., and Public School Contract Law, N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-1 et seq. All bidders shall possess a valid Public Works Contractor's Registration Certificate pursuant to N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq., at the time the bid is received by the Board of Education of the Ocean County Vocational Technical School. Bidders on a public works project for a Board of Education where the cost of the work exceeds $20,000.00 must first have been qualified by the Department of the Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-27 through 33, and shall submit with bid a Prequalification Affidavit, a copy of a valid and active Notice of Classification, a certified copy of a Total Amount of Uncompleted Contracts Form and an Affidavit that subsequent to the latest such statement submitted by bidder, there has been no material adverse change in the bidder qualification information except as set forth in said Affidavit. The work of the Contractor includes furnishing and installation of all material, labor, equipment, apparatus, tools, transportation, and other incidentals required to accomplish the following: Construct site improvements (parking area, walkways, etc.) and site infrastructure (stormwater, septic, etc.) associated with the building addition at the OCVTS Jackson Center located at 850 Toms River Road, in the Township of Jackson, NJ Site contractor will be required to coordinate closely with the building contractor regarding schedule, site accessibility, equipment/material delivery and storage, etc. All questions must be submitted in writing. No questions will be accepted or responded to after Tuesday June 20, 2023 at 3:00 pm. Project Schedule: Project is expected to start on or about July 31, 2023 and must be completed no later than August 23, 2024. Project to have a Liquidated Damages Clause of $500.00 per day after completion date indicated Bids will be received as a single prime contract for all phases of the site work. Quantities are estimates and the Board of Education reserves the right to increase quantities by 20% or decrease quantities by 100% as specified in the specifications pursuant to N.J.A.C. 5:30-11.2 and 11.10. No Minimum Purchase is Implied or Guaranteed. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-18, N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-2(s), (t), (x), (y), 18A:18A:-4(a-c), and N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-22, and to waive any informality, and to waive all immaterial information, if it is in the public interest of the Board to do so.
