Description | The City of Janesville, Wisconsin hereby gives notice that it will receive electronic bids for the following listed Public Work: C2023-17 Sanitary and Storm Sewer Lining - For furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and performing all work necessary for the cured-in-place (CIP) trenchless lining rehabilitation and selective joint grouting of approximately 24,500 LF of 8"- 20" diameter sanitary and storm sewer at various locations. A OneDrive link containing available video of the pipe to be lined will be sent to prime bidders only. All bidders shall bid in accordance with contract document's Section 2 'Information to Bidders'. The above Public Work will be let to the lowest responsible bidder and must be performed in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contracts on file with the City Clerk. The determination of the lowest responsible and best bid will be decided by the City Engineer, subject to review by the City Council. The Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids. No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a certified check equal to 10 percent of the bid or a bid bond in equal amount, payable to the City as guaranty that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and performance bond within ten days from the date the lowest responsible bidders bid is accepted. In case the bidder fails to execute such contract and performance bond within the time set by the City, the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages. If applicable, Federal Davis Bacon wage rates are included in the Contract Documents, as well as on file in the City Clerks Office. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 45 days after the actual date of the bid opening. |
