Chenango River Stream Bank Protection Project

As of March 15, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Estimated construction budget is under 225,000.00. The Tioga County SWCD is holding a site showing for the following stream re-habilitation project on February 10 to review the "Chenango River Stream Bank Protection Project"; for placement of 450 ft. of "Toe Wood" along the Chenango River in Norwich. The "Toe Wood" System consists of footing logs being placed at the toe of the bank, with root wads with 15-20 ft. of log attached cantilevered over the footers, with soil lifts above and live will plantings. The Tioga County SWCD reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to re-advertise for new bids, or to waive any formalities in connection with any bid.
