RFQ D/B - Design-Build of a New Airport MRO Hangar

Scope Summary: design and construction of a new hangar large enough to accommodate service of three (3) lines of transport aircraft such as Boeing 737s and Airbus 320s, with hangar floor area of approximately 55,000 square feet and 8,500 square feet of shop and office space. Shop and office space shall be designed as conditioned shell space to be upfit by a prospective tenant. If feasible, the fire suppression system shall be designed such that water is fed from existing tanks in the vicinity. The project is to include the hangar and improvements necessary to connect the building to adjacent auto parking lots and new aircraft parking ramp. The proposed site is just North of the hangar facility located at 4001 North Liberty Street. Pursuant to N.C. Statute Sec. 143-128.1(A), the County of Forsyth is soliciting proposals from qualified design-build teams interested in providing professional design and construction services for the Smith Reynolds Airport New Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) Hangar Project. The End of Question Period is 5:00 pm, November 1, 2022. Questions and requests for information to this RFQ shall be addressed in writing by email to andersja@forsyth.cc. Submissions received after this deadline are late and will not be considered for evaluation. The County of Forsyth reserves the right to reject any and all submittals. This RFQ does not obligate the County to pay any cost incurred by respondents in the preparation and submission of a response, nor does it obligate the County to accept or contract for any expressed or implied services.
