Description

Term: 60 days after receipt of order, not to exceed $49,999 Work Completion: 60 days from the issuance date of the Purchase Order Refer all questions with regard to this RFQ in writing to mburroughs@smcps.org no later than August 4, 2022 by 12pm St. Mary's County Public Schools (SMCPS) is requesting price quotes for the material, service, tools, delivery, and labor required to replace four (4) owner provided self-contained vertical exterior wall mount through-the-wall heat pump units at the following locations: Site Location: Fairlead Academy located at 24009 Point Lookout Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650, relocatable unit "R032" & "R044" (2 for each relocatable unit) Scope of Work o Install two (2) owner provided Bard wall mounted Heat Pump unit (model number: W30H1-A10) at relocatable R032 located at Fairlead Academy located at 24009 Point Lookout Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650 o Install two (2) owner provided Bard wall mounted Heat Pump unit (model number: W36HB-A10) at relocatable R044 located at Fairlead Academy located at 24009 Point Lookout Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650 o Provide, coordinate, and install the appropriate duct fitting to connect to the existing supply and return registers / ductwork. o Provide, coordinate, and install the associated local controls. o Provide, coordinate, and install all electrical components and connections. o Provide and coordinate for the removal of the existing wall mounted HVAC unit. o Contractor is responsible for all measurements and verification. o All work will be accomplished outside of school normal operating hours. o Provide and operate any hoisting of rigging equipment needed o Filter - 1" Disposable MERV 2 Filter 2 o Controls - Electronic 5 and 2 day programmable, auto changeover, with humidity control thermostat, occupancy control, occupancy sensor (Bard CO2 controller) Provide warranty the installation shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 2 years. Warranty period shall start from date of completed installation. Other Information o The units being removed and disposed of are manufactured by Bard WH30H1-A10 o The classroom these HVAC units will serve are occupied. Work will be performed after hours, weekends, and school holidays or early dismissals will be required. o The contractor will be responsible for all permits as needed. WARRANTY The product specified shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 1 year and for a period of 2 years for all parts. Warranty period shall start from date of installation as stated on warranty card. o Vendor will provide a signed W9 with quote. o Vendor will complete the attached Business Relationship Affidavit and submit with their response o Work will be scheduled with SMCPS, Department of Maintenance, and performed between the hours of 6:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday through Fridays except when "all schools and offices closed" as indicated on the SMCPS operational calendar. The SMCPS' calendar and school closing updates are available for view at www.smcps.org. o No Vendor will be allowed to offer more than one price for each item or service even though the Vendor may feel that they have two or more choices that meet specifications. Vendors must determine for themselves which to offer. o If the Vendor should submit more than one price on any item or service, all prices for that item or service will be rejected. o Vendor shall ensure that all employees report to the main office in school buildings daily to sign-in and sign-out while work is being performed o General terms and conditions are attached.
