Description

For: DI MARCO PLACE 1 & 2 RENOVATIONS South Remsen Avenue Wappingers Falls, New York 12590 This work includes General Construction, Mechanical, and Electrical work. Due to the magnitude of the work, it will be bid as a Single-Prime contract for the work of all trades required. The Contract Documents are not able to be reviewed at the offices of Swartz Architecture DPC, or at offices of the Hudson Valley Housing Development Fund Company, Inc. No Bidder may withdraw a Bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Bid Deposit shall be made in Certified Check from the Bidder or in a Bid Bond on the form of said Bid Bond attached to the Specifications or similar and be drawn payable to the Hudson Valley Housing Development Fund Company, Inc. OWNERS RIGHTS RESERVED: The Hudson Valley Housing Development Fund Company, Inc., hereinafter called the Owner, reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive any formality or technicality in any Bid in the best interests of the Owner and in accordance with the Law. STATEMENT OF NON-COLLUSION: Bidders on this Contract are required to execute the Non Collusion Bidding Certificate, in the form attached to the Specifications, pursuant to Section 103-d of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York. The work required by this Contract shall consist of furnishing all labor, equipment, materials, supervision, and performing all work necessary to complete the Project as herein described. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and in general consists of the following: 1. Architectural, Mechanical and Electrical work indicated on the drawings. TAX EXEMPT: Owner is exempt under the Tax Law of New York State, Article 28 Part III, and is exempt from payment of Sales and Compensating Use Taxes of the State of New York on all materials which are incorporated into work pursuant to the provisions of the Contract. These taxes are not to be included in the Bid under New York State Tax Law, Article 28, Part III. WAGE RATES: This project is subject to the provisions of the Davis-Bacon Act inclusive of required wages and conditions of employment. This project is not subject to the payment of New York State Prevailing Wage Rates. M/WBE: Both Minority and Women Owned Businesses and Section 3 Firms are encouraged to bid on this project. Further, non-M/WBE Firms are encouraged to retain M/WBE and/or Section 3 Firms to provide supplies and/or services in part of their work associated with this project. NON-DISCRIMINATION: Attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements for ensuring that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. BID BOND: Accompanying the Proposal under separate cover, shall be a Bid Bond, cash, cashier's check, or certified check for 5% of the total amount of the Bid amount, payable to the Hudson Valley Housing Development Fund Company, Inc. In case this Proposal is accepted by the Owner, and the undersigned shall fail to execute the Contract with the Owner, then the said Bid Bond, cash, cashier's check, or certified check shall become the property of the Owner; otherwise it shall be returned to the undersigned. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to commence prior to May 2023.
