| Description | 1. The work Includes removal and replacement of the entire damaged or broken concrete Basketball court. 2. The existing concrete cout Is in disrepair and needs replacement. Match existing elevations such that smooth transitions from existing to new are installed. Use the basketball goal foundations (4 each) to establish elevations. Install with a center crown that is 6" higher In the center of the court. 3. Provide expansion and control joints where shown on the drawing. Use details as shown on drawings. 4. Provide steel dowels at each construction joint situation to maintain even elevations. 5. Protect new concrete after installation by Installing temporary fence barriers around the work area. 6. The facility operates 24/7 so that coordination of the work is required to keep the facility secure. Schedule concrete Installation one area at a time to keep disruption to a minimum.Consult with owner If it Is practical to do more than one area at a time. Remember that dowels and other construction materials can always be used as weapons by the youth population so that vigilance must be maintained at all times during construction. 7. The work areas shall be left clean and orderly on a daily basis. | ||
