Description

The Project includes the following Work and consists of a single electrical contract: Install emergency diesel generators and automatic transfer switches, and furnish and install related electrical items, concrete equipment pads, and limited site work to include paving repairs and chain-link fencing at two (2) booster pump stations. One (1) 175 kW emergency diesel generator and two (2) automatic transfer switches have been pre-purchased by the Owner and will be consigned to the winning Bidder. One (1) existing 200 kW emergency diesel generator, currently installed at a 3rd site, will be relocated and rehabilitated by the winning Bidder. The three (3) sites are in Beaver County, Pennsylvania within the City of Beaver Falls, White Township, and the Borough of New Brighton. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, bid security, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Attention is called to the fact that prevailing minimum wage rates as determined by the Secretary of the Department of Labor and Industry must be paid by the Contractors on this project and that employees and applicants for employment shall not be discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap. Each Bidder is required to meet the requirements of Public Works Employment Verification Act, Act 127 of 2012. Any and all steel products used or supplied in the performance of the contract or any subcontracts shall be from steel made in the United States. The Owner hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to refuse and reject any or all bids submitted, and also reserves the right to waive any informality in bids received. Except as otherwise provided by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for sixty (60) days after the Bid Due Date, unless the contract award is delayed by a required approval of another government agency, the sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants, in which case the Bids shall remain open to acceptance and shall be irrevocable for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days after the Bid Due Date. Note, in the past, contractors have had difficulty locating the BFMA Maintenance Garage located adjacent to the Eastvale Filter Plant. Please confirm prior to departure that you are navigating to the Beaver Falls Municipal Authority facility located in Eastvale (Beaver Falls), Pennsylvania.
