Description | In order to bid on this, bidders MUST purchase documents by calling Tammi Kennedy at 304-292-8443 Ext. 172. The work includes construction of +/-1,670' of 8" DR-18 PVC water line, +/- 80' of 16" steel casing by bore and jack method (Include carrier pipe), one (1) fire service, one (1) fire hydrant, and all other related appurtenances for the Lawless Road Water Line Extension Project. No Bid will be received unless accompanied by a Bid Bond equal to at least five percent of the Bid, payable to the Owner as a guarantee that after a Bid is accepted, Bidder will execute and file the Agreement, Insurance Certificate, and 100% Performance and Payment Bonds within fifteen days after the Notice of Award. Bids will be accepted from only those Bidders who obtain Documents from the Owner. In connection with the performance of work under this Contract, Contractor shall comply with all applicable Local, State and Federal labor laws. The Morgantown Utility Board reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any informality and/or technicality, and to accept any Bid which it deems advantageous. All Bids shall remain subject to acceptance for 90 days after the time set for opening Bids. West Virginia Code 21-1D-5 provides that any solicitation for a public improvement construction contract requires each vendor that submits a Bid for the work to submit at the same time an affidavit of compliance with the Bid. The enclosed Drug-Free Workplace Affidavit must be signed and submitted in the first envelope as evidence of the vendor's compliance with the provisions of Article 1D, Chapter 21 of the West Virginia Code. Failure to submit the signed Drug-Free Workplace Affidavit in the first envelope shall result in disqualification of such Bid. Any Contractor submitting a Bid on this project hereby certifies, indicates, and acknowledges that he/she has a valid and current General Engineering Contractor License from the State of West Virginia and meets all the qualifications required by the statutes of the state and subdivision in which the work is to be performed. |
