North Mecklenburg Recycle Center BMP Maintenance Project

Contractor will be responsible for maintenance-modification to all three rain garden basins. This will involve forebay/drainage improvements and removal of vegetated surface (approximately 0.5 feet +/-) from the basins surface only. Not including access, no disturbance to the surrounding slopes or berms will be required. All excavated material will be hauled off site to a designated location at Soil Supply of Huntersville. In addition, concrete forebays and associated outlet drains will be cleaned, inspected, and upfitted with slurry pumps to be purchased and installed by the contractor. Note: Existing power and plumbing is already installed. New GFI outlets will be installed by contractor. Basin replacement materials will be installed as follows: Basin 1A will receive C-330 Stalite mix and Basins 1B and 2 will receive C-133 sand. Both may be locally sourced and delivered by supplier.
