RFP Engineering - Perpetuation - Resurfacing

As of October 7, 2022, this project is in the conceptual phase. An engineer has not been selected. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to start prior to July 2023. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The pavement needs treatment to extend its service life. Perpetuation project to mill and overlay 11.87 miles of STH 27 from the Chippewa/Rusk County Line to USH 8, Towns of Willard and Grant, and City of Ladysmith, Rusk County. Other work includes concrete surface repair on structure B-54-0046, railroad crossing surface (City of Ladysmith) and railroad signals/gates, traffic signal, culverts, replace all guardrail, curb & gutter spot replacement, base aggregate shouldering, pavement markings, and curb ramps work. Resurfacing and bridge work proposed to be done under traffic with railroad crossing work done under a detour Anticipated Construction Cost: $7,000,000-$7,999,999 The contract price will be based on an estimate of the selected consultant's actual costs plus fixed fee. Actual costs will be defined as those costs allowable under the cost principles in Part 31 of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). Consultant costs including indirect cost rates and cost accounting system will be subject to audit. Consultant firms that are unable to account for costs consistent with requirements of the FAR are not eligible to contract. Consultants selected will be required to either submit or have on file with WisDOT a Consultant Financial Report prior to contract execution. Advertised Fixed Fee % : 7.25 Fixed Fee Notification : The fixed fee for this contract will apply an indirect cost factor of 150% to the consultant's estimated direct labor, regardless of the consultant's actual indirect rate.
