Bluffton Parkway Pathway Project

As of August 29,2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The work as shown on the plans entitled PLAN AND PROFILE OF BLUFFTON PARKWAY SIDEWALK consists of installing an 8' sidewalk for approximately 650 ft. The work includes grading, earthwork, a security fence, erosion control, permanent cover, and other items as shown on the plans. The sidewalk shall be either concrete or asphalt pavement section as shown on the plans and bid tab, and the contractor shall select only one option for the bid. All Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond drawn in favor of the Beaufort County Treasurer of Beaufort County, Beaufort, South Carolina, in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the bid for the complete work: such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded a contract, will promptly enter into a contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bond as provided by law and approved by the attorney for Beaufort County, South Carolina. Each bond shall be to equal one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the County Council of Beaufort County, South Carolina as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within fourteen (14) days after being notified that he has been awarded the Contract. Unless otherwise provided in the Supplemental Conditions, the Contractor shall obtain and pay for all permits, licenses, and certificates required for the proper execution and completion of Work under this Contract. The Beaufort County pay scale will govern with County employees wage rates as applicable.However, payrolls must be submitted by truck fleet owner covering the truck drivers, and all requirements such as predetermined wages, overtime, etc., are applicable. Beaufort County reserves the right to reject all proposals and to waive minor informalities and irregularities .Any claims for cost incurred by any bidders in preparation of any part of, or total package for this project will not be handled for reimbursement by Beaufort County or their representatives.
