Description

Installation of Gas Boiler/Domestic Hot Water Combi Units at Marvin J. Schick Apartments, 27 Center St., North East, Pa. 1. Shutoff and tagout gas, electric and water supply to existing boilers and Hot Water Tanks. 2. Drain boiler system and HWT's all the way down. 3. Disconnect gas, electric, water and exhaust pipe. 4. Install new wall mounted Combi Boiler and CRC200 Thermostat. Boiler to be Bosch Greenstar Combi lOOp Model ZWB28-3 or equivalent Combi Boiler. 5. Contractor to use existing exhaust pipe wall penetration for new Concentric Vent. Seal around all pipe penetrations with white colored OSI window, door and siding caulking, (or Equivalent caulking.) 6. Install Lever Handled, Brass, Ball Valve water shutoff on water supply to new boiler. Connect cold water supply to boiler. 7. If new boiler does not include a built-in manifold or the following below listed as A-C. Contractor is to install according to A-C and refer to attached diagram. A. Cross over loop. B. Install Lever Handled, Brass, Ball Valve water shutoffs, on both the supply and return of boiler loop below the boiler. C. Install drain valves on both the supply and return of the boiler loop below the boiler. 8. Install Lever Handled, Brass, Ball Valve shut off on return loop above boiler. (Refer to diagram) 9. Install circulating pump with Lever Handled, Brass, Ball valve shut offs on each side, installed on supply side of loop. (Refer to diagram) 10. Install expansion tank with Fill Valve, an Air Separator and FB 38 reducing valve on supply side of loop. (Refer to diagram) 11. Install a drain on the low side of both the return and supply sides. 12. Connect supply and return loop to boiler. 13. Connect electric supply to new boiler with a Power Switch mounted on the outside of boiler for servicing if boiler does not come with manufactured one. 14. Install gas shut off valve on supply line to boiler. 15. Turn on water to fill Boiler System. Bleed air from system and check for leaks. 16. Turn on gas and check for leaks. 17. Operate boiler to ensure it functions properly. 18. There will be a list provided of Boilers and Hot Water Tanks that will be retained by the Erie Housing Authority. The Contractor will be responsible of disposing the rest. 19. All work performed and parts used must be according to manufacturer's specifications and Local Code. 20. The Contractor is responsible for keeping a clean and safe working environment throughout the project. 21. The Contractor will be responsible for disposal of all waste materials and equipment.
