Shore Side Detachment Sewage Lift Pump and Pipe Repair

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for non-commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 36 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and no other written solicitation will not be issued. Instructions to offerors, (FAR Part 36) evaluation criteria, and all applicable FAR Provisions and Clauses are attached. The solicitation number is 70Z02922QNEWO0035 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) SF1442-14b form. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses. Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Clauses and Department of Labor Wage Rates for Construction are included in this order and are applicable. Where Federal Acquisition Regulation clause language is inconsistent with FAR Part 36, Legal Effect of Quotations, that language is hereby tailored in accordance with FAR Part 36 to be consistent with a request for quotations. This tailoring includes, but is not limited to the following: In accordance with FAR Part 36, a quotation is not an offer, and any clause provision to the contrary is hereby modified to be consistent with FAR Part 36. This solicitation will result in a Firm-Fixed Price Construction Contract awarded to the offeror with the Lowest Price. Offerors must be actively registered in System for Award Management - https://www.sam.gov. The US Coast Guard Cutter Wedge has a requirement to repair a sewage lift pump/pipe, to include: Remove soil between Wet Well tank and Sewage Vault to expose broken PVC piping. Remove PVC piping section between #2 lift pump discharge end through the Wet Well tank and into the Sewage Access Vault ending at the sewage steel piping. Contractor must ensure all local and state requirements are followed for entry into a confined space prior to entry into wet well tank. Clean existing Wet Well tank prior to new pump installation. Remove defective lift pump. Install new lift pump. Replace PVC piping between #2 lift pump discharge end through the Wet Well tank and into the Sewage Access vault ending at the steel sewage piping. Test for leaks and proper operation of pump as per manufactures specifications. Return soil over PVC piping between Wet Well tank and Sewage Vault. Clean up surrounding area of any work debris. Offerors or quoters are urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. Date and place of delivery and acceptance is on or before August 12, 2022.
