WUD, Customer Service - Fire Alarm Replacement

a. Contractor to remove, properly dispose of existing fire alarm system and replace with a new addressable fire alarm system. All work must conform to Exhibits “1”, “2” and “3” attached. b. Provide and install terminal cabinet. c. Install AC surge protection. d. Provide and install new equipment within project area. Equipment includes but is not limited to, addressable photo smoke detectors, addressable duct detectors with sampling tubes, addressable heat detectors, relay modules, monitor modules, strobe lights, speaker strobes, speakers, annunciator panel, voice evacuation panel, UDACT and fire alarm control panel. e. Remove and replace existing standalone Pre-Action Dry control panel and connect all associate initiating devices. f. New FACP will monitor the new Pre-Action Dry Control Panel. g. Provide and install surge protection for data loop, signal circuits, electrical feeds, and network cable to data closet which will be confirmed at pre-bid. h. Remove all existing fire alarm equipment within the project area. i. Patch, repair, prep and paint wall to match existing, with two coats of paint, where any equipment is moved or adjusted. If painting cannot be matched with adjacent finish, the Contractor will be responsible for painting entire wall from end-to-end. j. Existing equipment: a. Controllers, annunciators and DACT communicators are to be salvaged and furnished to ESS. b. Existing equipment is not operational and will be removed and given to ESS.
