Engineering Services - Stormwater

Provide engineering services for stormwater infrastructure Stormwater application services to support the County’s stormwater program shall include: i. Technical and engineering studies ii. Cost estimates and analysis (such as benefit-cost) iii. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) services a. Data collection b. Application development c. Mapping d. Operational support iv. Field studies v. Stormwater system inspection and evaluation vi. Permitting vii. Land surveying viii. Engineering design ix. Regulatory agency and utilities coordination B. Stormwater and related environmental and scientific work shall include: i. Flood plain protection a. County’s watershed models validation b. Stormwater hydraulic and hydrologic modeling using tools such as interconnected pond routing (ICPR) for maintenance of level of service (LOS) related requests c. Development reviews d. Watershed management planning, updates and maintenance related to flood plain protection e. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) updates and coordination f. Community Rating System (CRS) ii. Water quality a. Pollutant load modeling b. Watershed planning and sediment management plan related to water quality c. Low impact development (LID) d. Feasibility studies and green infrastructure design e. Natural channel design f. Best management practice analysis g. Regulatory support for permitting including meetings, application, and responding to requests for additional information iii. Stormwater infrastructure repair, rehabilitation and replacement a. Application of trenchless technologies b. Erosion control and bank stabilization c. Drainage operations and maintenance d. Infrastructure condition and needs assessments e. Engineering design iv. Additional services may include: a. Public outreach b. Value engineering c. Constructability reviews d. Construction management e. Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) f. Financial/fiscal studies g. Quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) related tasks h. Coordination with other disciplines i. Preparation of estimated quantities, costs and bid documents j. Attends project management and public meetings k. Assists with Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) and other grant/loan funding
