Description

Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) regulations for pavement condition assessment, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is implementing a Statewide 3D pavement condition data collection program utilizing a Laser Crack Measuring System (LCMS). As part of this implementation program, a Consultant services contract is necessary to obtain pavement performance data that meet Florida’s pavement management needs as well as requirements established by the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act (MAP-21) and the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act (FAST ACT) through Title 23 CFR part 490. Florida’s roadways of interest include approximately 11,000 miles of non-interstate pavements that are part of the National Highway System (NHS) as well as sample sections of pavements off the NHS. In total, the condition of approximately 13,600 miles of pavements are required to be collected and reported.
