Description | Provide Construction Engineering and Inspection Services for the Pedestrian Enhancement Project Along Prindle Avenue and Route 243, Ansonia, Connecticut. For this project, the consultant shall provide construction inspection and testing services that span the construction project activities from pre-contract award through final close out. The consultant must have demonstrated experience and knowledge in engineering and design drawings/specifications, state funded projects, the CT Local Transportation Capital Improvement Program (LOTCIP), construction of roadway and sidewalk improvements generally consistent with the latest version of CTDOT`s Construction Engineering and Inspection Information Pamphlet for Consulting Engineers. The project area begins on Prindle Avenue at Ford Street and extends south, along the east side of Prindle Avenue and ends at the western driveway of Chargers Field. The project also continues on the north side of Pulaski Highway (Route 243) beginning at the intersection with Prindle Avenue and ending at Finney Street. The proposed project includes approximately 4,600 linear feet of 5` wide concrete sidewalks, curb ramps and crosswalks, minor curbing and drainage adjustments, guide rail replacement, reconstruction of driveway aprons, and the installation of a Rectangular Rapid Flash Beacon (RRFB) system at the mid-block crossing at the high school driveway and construction of embankment walls. Goals: 25% of the work with DAS certified Small and Minority owned businesses and 25% of that work with DAS certified Minority, Women and/or Disabled owned businesses. The contractor must demonstrate good faith effort to meet the 25% set-aside goals. |
