Snow Plowing And Removal Services

The contractor must be able to provide the following snow plowing equipment and operators: Minimum of two (2) motor graders equipped with grader gates that are equivalent to the Caterpillar12m3 AWD (all wheel driver) or Champion 720 A with operators Single dispatcher contact Minimum of 1 supervisor per shift If contractor does not have motor graders equipped with grader gates then another piece of equipment capable of minimizing snow berms adjacent to mailboxes and driveways will be required Contractor will be required to plow identified local streets when an anticipated snow accumulation of five (5) inches or greater occurs. City of Helena has approximately 175 lanes miles of local streets Streets are to be plowed to the side and not hauled away City will provide 36 hours' notice of a forecasted snow event of 3-5 inches or greater. Contractor will be ready to respond to a snow event upon activation by the City of Helena. Proposal of an hourly rate for equipment and operator. The contractor would be required to work 12-hour shift that will include day and night shifts. The contract will be for one (1) year with the option of two (2) one (1) year extensions, by mutual agreement.
