Description

The contract from this solicitation will be for the installation of a new pump(MDOT/SHA supplied), repair of the pump guiderail at the discharge elbow/flange, allother items below as well. The bid will be a lump sum, no other additional costs shall bepaid. Items: o Contractor to comply with OSHA/MOSH confined space requirements to include a copyof company confined spaces SOP prior to award. o Contractor will be responsible for water evacuation for safe working conditions. (apprx 4' of storm water during dry periods) o Contractor shall repair the pump guide-rail at discharge elbow/flange/base connector, using best industry practices (metal fabrication or welding capabilities may be required). o Install rebuilt pump & flange assembly - to be provided by MDOT-SHA Princess Anne Shop. o Pull pump & float wiring through existing conduit with pull strings to existing control panel. o Perform above wire hook ups to control panel & pump controller using skilled pump controls technician or service. Verify pump, float operation & secure all excess wiringwith cable ties. o Lane closure maintenance of traffic for pump truck to be provided by MDOT-SHA Princess Anne Shop. o To mitigate water infiltration from spillway, work should be performed during non-rain events. Contractor shall bid a lump sum to include all costs, including all labor, overhead, miscellaneous materials, pump elbow flange repair, crane/winching, water pumping, control wiring hookup costs, etc to provide a full installation of 1 existing Homa AK series 20 HP pump. Awarded contractor shall able to start and complete the work within 4 weeks of notice to proceed or notification/award from the procurement officer.
