Description | **As of August 10, 2022, project was awarded to Entry Guard Systems, awarded amount is $73,403.21.** The intent and purpose of this Invitation for Bid is to establish a contract with a qualified supplier to furnish and provide installation of an automatic entry gate and associated sitework at the entrance of the Woodman Road Central Automotive Maintenance Facility, located at 10301 Woodman Road, Glen Allen, Virginia 23060 for the County of Henrico, Department of General Services in accordance with the enclosed general terms, conditions and specifications Furnish all tools, labor, and equipment necessary to provide installation of an automatic entry gate and associated sitework at the entrance of the Woodman Road Central Automotive Maintenance Facility for the County of Henrico, Department of General Services in accordance with the enclosed general terms, conditions and specifications. The intent and purpose of this Invitation for Bid is to establish a contract with a qualified supplier to furnish and provide installation of an automatic entry gate and associated sitework at the entrance of the Woodman Road Central Automotive Maintenance Facility, located at 10301 Woodman Road, Glen Allen, Virginia 23060 for the County of Henrico, Department of General Services in accordance with the enclosed general terms, conditions and specifications. Bidders are responsible for ensuring that their bid is submitted in eVA by the deadline indicated. All Bidders shall use the enclosed Bid Form in submitting their bid prices. The Purchasing Division reserves the right to waive any informality in bids and to award in part or in whole or to reject any or all bids. Nothing herein is intended to exclude any responsible bidder, its product or service or in any way restrain or restrict competition. On the contrary, all responsible Bidders are encouraged to bid and their bid is solicited. Comments as to how bid documents, specifications or drawings can be improved are welcome. Pursuant to Henrico County Code Section 16-43, the award will be made by the Purchasing Director. Should you have any questions concerning this Invitation for Bid or bid submissions through eVA, please contact Jianchong Luo at luo001@henrico.us no later than June 29, 2022. The Work shall be Finally Complete and certified by the County within 120 calendar days after the date of the written Notice to Proceed from the County to the Contractor. Final Completion of all Work shall be within 30 calendar days after the date of Substantial Completion. The County and the Contractor recognize that time is of the essence and that the County will suffer financial loss if the Work is not completed by Final Completion dates required by the Contract Documents. Both parties recognize the delays, expense, and damages involved in proving in a legal proceeding the actual loss suffered by the Owner if the Work is not completed on time. Accordingly, notwithstanding any other provisions of this Contract, the Owner and the Contractor agree, stipulate and fix as liquidated damages, but not as a penalty, the sum of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00) that the Contractor together with the Contractor's surety shall pay the County for each calendar day or part thereof that expires after the date specified for Final Completion if the Contractor does not complete the Work by the Final Completion date required by the Contract Documents. The Contractor hereby waives any defense as to the validity of liquidated damages stated in this Agreement on the grounds that such liquidated damages are void as penalties or are not reasonably related to actual damages, and the parties agree that the County's entitlement to liquidated damages shall be determined at the time of Final Completion and shall not be subject to the claims provisions of the Contract Documents. |
