Description

Site work and paving for a road / highway in Ironton, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway. 1st and Pine Street Roadway Improvements To be eligible to bid on the project, one must purchase the Bid Documents from IBI Group. Each Bidder is required to furnish with its submission of the fully completed Bid Documents, a Bid Security in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form (Bid Guarantee and Contract and Performance Bond as provided in Section 153.57.1 of the Ohio Revised Code), must be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Those Bidders that elect to submit bid guaranty in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit pursuant to Chapter 1305 of the Ohio Revised Code and in accordance with Section 153.54 (C) of the Ohio Revised Code. Any such letter of credit shall be revocable only at the option of the beneficiary OWNER. The amount of the certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit shall be equal to ten (10) percent of the Bid and the Successful Bidder will be required to submit a bond in the form provided in 153.57 of the Ohio Revised Code in conjunction with the execution of the Contract. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the Bidding Documents and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. The OWNER intends that this Project be completed no later than the time period as set forth in Article 4 of the Standard Form of Agreement Between OWNER and CONTRACTOR on the Basis of a Stipulated Price. Each Bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, handicap, ancestry, or age. All CONTRACTORs and subcontractors involved with the project shall to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, CONTRACTOR compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Lawrence County as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Division of Labor and Worker Safety - Wage and Hour. The City of Ironton reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities. The City of Ironton reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to increase or decrease or omit any item or times and/or award the bid to the lowest and best bidder.
