Contract 2 - Wilkshire Hills Water System Improvements

As of April 14, 2023, the project has been awarded. A timeline for construction has not been confirmed. The Project includes the following Work: Work of the Project includes the construction of a new addition to the existing water treatment plant to house the new vertical pressure filter system, including all ancillary work. A new water storage tank shall be constructed to supply water for backwash cycles and a settling tank for treatment of the backwash water. In addition, two master meters in the distribution system shall be constructed. Liquidated damages shall be $1,000.00 per day. Bids will be publicly read aloud, and an apparent low bidder will be announced. A Bidder may not withdraw his Bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening of Bids. American Iron and Steel Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States.
