Description

Building 24499 Air Force Safety Center (AFSEC), 9700 G Ave S Kirtland AFB, Albuquerque, NM 87117-56 The objective for this Statement of Work (SOW) is to provide all management, materials, labor, and equipment necessary for Building 24499 renovation located at Kirtland AFB, NM. This project shall include replacement and upgrades to specific components to the HVAC system, Plumbing, Associated Fire Suppression, and upgrades of the Electrical systems. The objective of this effort is to addresses deficiencies in the HVAC system on the third floor caused by past remodels and to extend the life cycle of components in the existing system. There are air flow problems on the third floor that have been created over the years by space remodeling, mostly work rooms added in interior/perimeter areas that were previously open. Some of the VAV terminal units are not able to maintain flow set points and space temperatures as supply and return registers are not located where they need to be. The project also includes an approximately 1,100 square foot first floor renovation of the Enola Gay conference room. The conference room renovation shall adhere to all applicable Intelligence Community Directive ICD/ICS 705 requirements. The mantrap, vestibule expansion and conference room revisions will require architectural, mechanical, electrical, and interior design with furniture layout and lists. The procurement and installation of FF&E shall be provided by others. At present, the Government is unaware of any additional HAZMAT conditions for this project. However, in the event asbestos, lead, or Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCB) is suspected, the contractor is to immediately notify the Contracting Officer (KO). In event ACM or hazardous conditions are encountered efforts for disposal, remediation and removal shall be addressed as a modification to the contract. The facility will be occupied during construction. This effort includes but is not limited to all necessary civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical efforts as required. As applicable to the project the design and construction for Building 24499 renovation shall meet and address requirements IAW the Kirtland Air Force Base Installation Facilities Standards (IFS) document. Reference the URL https://www.wbdg.org/ffc/af-afcec/installation-facilities-standards-ifs/kirtland-afb-ifs for copy of the Kirtland Air Force Base IFS document. The Contractors efforts shall comply with specifications and requirements referenced herein. The project requirements and technical criteria cited within this SOW establishes the minimum standards for construction quality.
