Annual Fire Sprinklers, Risers, Extinguishers, Suppression Systems, and Alarm Panels Inspections, Maintenance, and Repairs

It is the intent of Alachua County to solicit Bids for qualified fire equipment servicing businesses who are duly registered and licensed in the State of Florida to render periodic inspections, testing, and maintenance services of fire protection systems and extinguishers in order to provide a safe environment for employees, clients and visitors to the offices, buildings and/ or grounds of various County locations. This work includes testing fire alarm panels, stand pipes, fire pumps, sprinklers, suppression systems, and extinguishers. All work shall be in accordance with appropriate standards, codes, and statutes. The successful bidder shall perform routine inspections, periodic maintenance, and additional tests/tasks as needed. Alachua County is located in North Central Florida. The County government seat is situated in Gainesville. Gainesville is located 70 miles southwest of Jacksonville, 129 miles southeast of Tallahassee, 140 miles northeast of Tampa - St. Petersburg and 109 miles northwest of Orlando. Alachua County has a population of over 250,000. The County itself consists of a total area of 969 square miles. Question Submission Deadline:May 8, 2022, 12:00am The county has the option to renew this agreement for 2 additional 1 year-periods at the same terms and conditions outlined here in. The vendor may choose not to renew with the County provided we have written notice ninety days prior to our fiscal year starting in October 1st for each term renewal. The amendments to extend the Contract will be issued once the county has exercised the option to renew. A Contract as a result of the solicitation shall be deemed effective only to the extent of appropriations available to the County Agency at any time during the Contract period. No interpretation of the bid will be made to any interested Bidder orally. Every request for such interpretation shall be made in writing, via the question and answer tab. Any interpretation to a Bidder will be made only by addendum; duly issued, and a copy of such addendum will be posted. Oral answers will not be authoritative. Addenda, questions, and answers so issued shall become part of the bid documents. Addenda Notification: Bidders are required to register for an account via the County's e-Procurement.
