Description | As of October 4, 2022, information regarding award and award date has not been disclosed. A firm timeline for construction has not been disclosed. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: UH has the option, in its sole discretion, to reduce the scope of work for any task or subtask called for under this contract. In such an event, the Executive Director shall provide advanced, written notice to the Contractor. Upon receipt of such written notice, the Contractor will submit, within five (5) working days to the Executive Director, an itemization of the work effort already completed by task or subtasks. The Contractor shall be compensated for such work effort according to the applicable portions of its cost proposal. For design and construction management services for the Emergency Department Expansion Project, the Contractor shall provide complete architectural/engineering services for design development, construction documents, bid documents, bidding assistance, and construction phased services. The scope of services is categorized into four types of services: 1. Architectural and Engineering Design Services; 2. Bid Document Services; 3. Design Services During Construction; 4. Construction Management Services. Where duplication of the scope of services occurs between categories, respondents should demonstrate how they propose to implement the project in an efficient manner at a value to University Hospital. As part of an emergency department master plan, the hospital identified the highest level of priority to expand the Main ED/Acute Care component to provide state of art treatment spaces, code compliancy and meet current standards of design and trends in emergency care treatment. The space identified for the expansion would provide 12,500 square feet for expansion. CAUTION: Bids will be automatically rejected from any bidder that was not represented or failed to properly register at the mandatory Site Visit. Raise questions and clarify any of the proposal requirements. The date, time and location are provided as follows: DATE: May 25, 2022 TIME: 3:00 PM LOCATION: University Hospital, 150 Bergen Street D-Level Conference Room D212, Newark, New Jersey. Any or all bids may be rejected when the Executive Director of Supply Chain Management determines that it is in the public interest to do so.
