Description

The project includes the replacement of the hvac roof-top equipment for housing unit P as well as modifying and extending the existing ducting systems to accommodate the new equipment and loads. Work will also include the demolition of the existing roof-top units and modifications to the existing building systems, electrical systems, and fire alarm systems to accommodate the installation of the new units and ducting. Only two housing units will be made available to the contractor at one a time either Side A or Side B so the contractor must sequence their work, Contractor is to sequence Side B before Side A. A sequencing plan must be provided to the institution by the lead contractor prior to on-site construction, for approval. Contractor must maintain an ambient indoor temparture of 68 degree fairenheight at all times throughout the construction duration, should temporary heat be required it is the lead contractors responsibillity to provide it. ESTIMATED RANGE: .2 HVAC ALL BASE BIDS (#1, #2 & #3) - $1,000,000 - $2,000,000 ESTIMATED RANGE: .4 Electrical Construction ALL BASE BIDS (#1, #2 & #3) - $100,000 - $200,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES = (.2) $370.00 per day & (.4) $100.00 per day. There is no Bid Guaranty required for this ProjectThe Department of General Services Public Works and the Bureau of Diversity, Inclusion and Small Business Opportunities (BDISBO) identified this procurement as eligible for the setting of Small Diverse Business (SDB) and/or Veteran Business Enterprise (VBE) participation goals.
