Description

Bid Proposals Florida Southern College seeks proposals that outline the qualifications of architectural firms experienced with Historic Preservation projects to provide services for repairs to its Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Polk Science Building Planetarium. The scope of work includes repair/replacement of interior “textile” blocks; modifications and replacement of building systems; rehabilitation of toilet rooms to meet ADA and other applicable codes; removal of later-period partitions; and restoration of doors, windows, and built-in furnishings. All work must be designed and executed in accordance with the Secretary of the Interior’s “Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties.” Responders must demonstrate previous experience with similar work meeting National Historic Landmark-quality standards.
