Fullerton Avenue Resurfacing

The proposed work is officially known as "Fullerton Avenue Resurfacing Project" and further described as HMA surface removal, HMA Surface and HMA Binder courses, spot curb and gutter and spot sidewalk removal and replacement, driveway removal and replacement, detector loop removal and replacement, ADA improvements, pavement markings and landscape restoration all as further described in the contract documents for the said work prepared by Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Ltd (CBBEL). This work shall consist of removal and replacement of existing pavement at locations as directed by the ENGINEER. This work shall be done in accordance with Section 442 of the STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS except that the four types, namely Type I, Type II, Type III and Type IV have been combined under the pay item CLASS D PATCHES, 6" (SPECIAL). The existing subgrade and pavement including the base and bituminous surface shall be removed to a depth of six (6) inches below the bituminous surface after the grind and replaced with 6" binder, as specified in Section 406. The surface of the patch shall meet the surface of the existing bituminous surface after the grind. No patch shall be left open for more than 24 hour
