PROJECT: MVCC Building T - Auto Lab Exhaust Upgrades LOCATION: 9000 West College Parkway Palos Hills Il, 60465 OWNER: Moraine Valley Community College 9000 West College Parkway Palos Hills IL, 60465 ARCHITECT: IMEG Corp. 1100 Warrenville Road Naperville Il, 60563 Suite 400W Phone: 630.527.2320 Fax: 630.527.2321 SCOPE: Bids shall be submitted for a single contract that will include the following: Automotive exhaust system upgrades in four laboratories including HVAC system revisions, and associated power, structural and temperature controls infrastructure. PLEASE NOTE: The selected prime contractor must self-perform at least fifty (50%) percent of the project work. Commencement of the Work on the project shall be subject to the discretion of Moraine Valley Community College. Representatives of all bidding firms: General, Mechanical, Controls and Electrical Work are required to attend and present any questions they may have. RIGHTS RESERVED BY OWNER: The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities and/or reject any or all bids when, in the opinion of the Owner, such action will serve the best interests of the Owner. BID SECURITY: Bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. WAGE RULES: The contract calls for the construction of a "public work" within the meaning of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820ILCS/130/01 et seq. ("the act) for Cook County Illinois. The act requires contractors and subcontractors to pay laborers, workers and mechanics performing services on public works projects no less than the "prevailing rate of wages (hourly cash wages plus fringe benefits) in the county (Cook County) where the work is performed. For information regarding current prevailing wage rates, please refer to the Illinois Department of Labors. All contractors and subcontractors rendering services under this contract must comply with all requires of the Act, including but not limited to, all wage, notice and record keeping duties. Failure to comply with said Act will result in penalties and fines. WITHDRAWAL OF BIDS: No bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the opening of bids without written consent of the Owner.
