Description | This project consists of construction of a new pre-engineered building utilized as the county's maintenance and storage shop. The building will also be the main office for the county highway engineer. Bid Security Shall Be Submitted With Each Bid in the Amount of Ten Percent (10%), Percent of the Bid Amount. No Bids May Be With-drawn for a Period of 30 Days After Opening of Bids. Owner Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids and to Waive Informalities and Irregularities. Bidders Must Be Properly Licensed Under the Laws Governing Their Respective Trades and Be Able to Obtain Insurance and Bonds Required for the Work. A Performance Bond, Separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insur-ance in a Form Acceptable to Owner Will Be Required of the Successful Bidder. The Owner Requires All Contractors and Vendors Doing Business With the Owner Not to Discriminate Against Anyone on the Basis of Race, Age, Color, Religion, Gender, Sexual Orientation, Ancestry, Non Job-related Handicaps or National Origin. Crawford County Highway Department Reserves the Right to Accept or Reject Any and All Bids, and to Waive Any and All Informalities in the Bidding. After Receipt of Bids and Completion of the Review Process, Crawford County Highway Department May Award a Contract to the Bidder That, in Its Opinion, Will Provide a Combination of the Best Services and Reasonable Cost. Successful Bidders Shall Be Required to Observe the Fair Employment Practices Commission Rules Pertaining to Equal Employment Opportunity, and Comply With the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 Ilcs 130/1 Et Seq.., and Use Wage Determination as Determined by the Illinois Department of Labor, Conciliation, and Mediation Division Dated March 7, 2022. These Wages Will Remain in Effect Until Superseded by a New Determination. |
