Description

All sealed bids should be clearly marked Marshallville Water Treatment Plant Replacement Project on the outside of the envelope. Any bids received after the time designated in this advertisement will be returned unopened. Project Description: Existing water plant to be abandoned and rebuilt. The new plant will have a capacity of 180,000 GPD, or 125 GPM, compose of a 15,000-gallon concrete settling tank with forced draft aeration, two (2) new concrete clearwells, four (4) media filters with a filtration rate of 2.48gpm/sq.ft. each, two (2) Ion Exchange Softeners with a softening rate of 2.87 gpm/sq.ft each, new chlorine feed & potassium permanganate chemical feed system with an external brine tower, new low & high service pumps, new well pumps, and a diesel generator. Also includes ~346 LF of 6 PVC SDR-35 sanitary sewer. Project manuals and plans are on file for review only beginning Thursday, June 22nd, 2023 at Environmental Design Group, 450 Grant Street, Akron, Ohio 44311. Project Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and scope. Each bidder is required to furnish with his proposal a Bid Guarantee and Contract Bond in accordance to Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. All questions concerning the project should be directed to George Sendrey, P.E. at Environmental Design Group, 330-375-1390, gsendrey@envdesigngroup.com and shall be submitted in writing no later than August 3rd, 2023, by 5:00 PM. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services and labor in the implementation of the project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor s executive Order of 1972, and Governor s Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Wayne County and the Village of Marshallville, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division, (614) 644-2239. Financing for the Marshallville Water Treatment Plant Project has been provided through the Ohio Public Works Commission (OPWC), the Ohio Department of Development (DoD), and the Water Supply Revolving Loan Account (WSRLA). The bidder shall abide by all requirements of the funding providers. BUY AMERICAN IRON AND STEEL REQUIREMENTS AS SPECIFIED IN HOUSE RESOLUATION 3547, CONSOLIDATED APPROPIATIONS ACT OF 2014 APPLY TO THIS PROJECT.
