Storm Water Retention Basin Remediation - 1837 - City of Santa Clara

This project proposes to remove silt debris and other deposits from the Westside and Eastside Retention Basins and the Tasman Swale. The two basins and the Tasman Swale have collected significant sediment since its construction and needs to be dredged to restore its original line and grade and capacity to provide flood protection to the community. In 2018, the Westside Retention Basin was successfully desilted. The next phase is to complete the desilting work for the Eastside Retention Basin and the Tasman Swale. The project is necessary to prevent surface flooding onto public right-of-way and nearby businesses and residential homes. Project is included in the City of Santa Clara's FY 2022 - 2023 CIP. As of July 13, 2022, information regarding a design team or a general contractor is not available. A timeline for construction has not been determined. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
