Description | As of July 3, 2023, the project has not been awarded. A timeline for award has not been confirmed. This work consists of road reconstruction, ADA and minor storm upgrades, roundabout installation. Questions relating to this Bid shall be referred to: Administrative: Dan Siminski, P.E. Project Manager City of Grand Rapids- Engineers Office 300 Monroe Avenue NW Grand Rapids, MI 49503 (616) 456-4253 dsiminski@grcity.us The successful Bidder shall furnish satisfactory performance and payment/lien bonds, each in an amount equal to the total contract price, on all projects for which the contract amount is $50,000 or more. On a project-by-project basis, performance and payment/lien bonds may be required on projects for which the contract price is less than $50,000. Such bonds shall conform to the regulations of the City and the requirements specified by the laws of Michigan. A certified check or bid bond for a sum not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid will be required with each bid. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 45 calendar days after the date and time for receiving bids. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all Bids; to reject the Bid of a Bidder who is not, in the opinion of the Engineer or City, in a position to perform the contract; to waive informalities, irregularities and technicalities; to reject any and all non-conforming, non-responsive, unbalanced [unreasonable unit price(s)] or conditional Bids; or to advertise for new Bids. The City also reserves the right to award the Contract in the City's best interest, and therefore, may select a Bidder other than the lowest.
