Description

Item No. 1: Universal Shielding Corporation’s scope to modify the existing RF Shielded Enclosure to replace the existing Aurora MRI Equipment with new Siemens’ MRI Equipment per specification 134900 RF Shielding and attached proposal. Work includes, but is not limited to, all work required to complete the WOMEN’S PAVILION MRI REPLACEMENT FOR ST. TAMMANY HEALTH SYSTEM. The work included in the project consists of renovations to an existing interior space to accommodate the installation of a new MRI machine. The existing MRI will be removed by the Owner’s vendor (Siemens). The new MRI will be installed by the Owner’s vendor (Siemens). The work includes modifications to the existing RF Shielding (per Closed Specification Vendor United Shielding Corp.), new floor, wall and ceiling finishes, new lighting, additional power and data connections, upgraded electrical service for the new MRI equipment, new HVAC equipment and fire suppression relocation. A temporary generator will be furnished by the Owner and installed by the Contractor. The Contractor will need to complete connections to the MRI Equipment and building utilities. Once the temporary generator is installed the Owner will remove the existing generator and the contractor will demo the existing concrete pad and install a new concrete pad for a future generator. The project contains no alternates.
