All bids shall be submitted on the basis of lump sum pricing as provided in the bid specifications. Payment to successful bidder shall be net thirty (30) days after receipt of products, materials, services or invoices, whichever is later unless otherwise stated in specifications. The right is reserved, as the interest of Montgomery County Commissioners' Court may require rejecting any one or all bids and to waive any informality in bids received. All bids received after the above designated closing time will be returned unopened. A Bid Bond from an approved surety company-holding permit from the State of Texas will be required. This project widens Nichols Sawmill bridge over Walnut Creek to 3 lanes. The project limits include the approaches from approximately 100 ft south to 100 ft north of the existing bridge. The project includes 4,024 SF of bridge deck, 1,005 LF of drilled shafts, 470 SY of treated subgrade, and 82 TONS of Type "D" hot mix asphaltic concrete pavement. The above description of the scope of work is general in nature and is only intended to provide an overview of the project. The complete detailed scope of work and bid items are contained in the plans and specifications. The contractor will have 240 calendar days to complete the project. This project shall be constructed under the Montgomery County General Conditions and the 2014 Texas Department of Transportation Technical Specifications.
