Description | The Town of Cary is seeking one or more qualified firm(s) with which to contract for the following services: o Design Survey o Foundation evaluation o Coatings evaluation o Accommodation of wireless antenna tank collocations and associated ground equipment o Preparation of a preliminary engineering report (PER) o Preparation of all permits and environmental reports o Determination of corrosion and possible solutions The existing Harrison water tank is located at 910 North Harrison Ave, a half-acre property adjacent to Cary's Jordan Hall across from the commercial properties at Northwoods Market Plaza. A condition assessment of the tank performed by S&ME in March 21, 2022 showed corrosion at various areas of the tank including signage, ladders, risers, and tank interior. The existing Harrison water tank located at 910 Harrison Ave is due for maintenance. The Town is looking for proposals from qualified firms to provide engineering services for the evaluation of rehabilitation options. Major tasks shall include but are not limited to coating, corrosion prevention/rehab, as well as structural analysis for placement options of existing colocation carrier devices. Cary anticipates approval of selected consultant during October 2022 after a scope and fee are finalized. Timing is important to the planning and initiation of the contract and while a firm timeline is not provided, Cary desires to move expeditiously toward construction. A sufficient amount of time shall be allowed for evaluation and discussion of the various options prior to completion of the PER. A similar amount of time will likely be required for the detailed design. Deadline for written questions September 15, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. Town Response to Questions (anticipated) September 22, 2022 All questions related to this solicitation must be submitted in writing (via email) to the following individual: Yang Song yang.song@townofcary.org |
