Gordon Road Interconnection with NCDOT - 165 - Cape Fear Public Utility Authority

Gordon Road Water Mains Interconnection with NCDOT will fund installation of water main interconnections along Gordon Road before NCDOT widens the road, greatly increasing the price of future improvements. Enhanced interconnections now will increase the interconnectivity between the Sweeney supplied system and the Richardson supplied system. This will increase overall system resilience and improve water quality by eliminating dead end mains. As of July 28, 2022, this project is included in the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority's FY 2023-2032 CIP and funding is allotted for FY 2023. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
