Description | Allow Electronic Quote: Yes Informal Bid Flag: No The City of Long Beach, Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to replace existing exterior restroom doors with a more heavy-duty design and a magnetic door locking system. Question Deadline 10/11/2023 at 11:00 AM PT Blanket/Contract Begin Date: 01/02/2024 Blanket/Contract End Date: 01/01/2026 This contract will be for a period of two years with the option to renew for three additional one-year periods. The total contract term will not exceed five years. Description of Services The contractor shall provide all labor, material, equipment, and supervision to successfully remove and replace or modify current exterior restroom doors. We currently have two different types of exterior doors that consist of a metal or jailhouse-style door. If current metal restroom door is in good and undamaged condition, the contractor shall install a vandal-resistant box to protect the padlock and door latch. If door is determined to be in poor condition, the contractor shall remove and replace with a 1/8 thick metal door to include a door closure as well as a vandal-resistant box to protect the padlock and door latch. If restroom door consists of a jail house style, the contractor shall install an exterior 1/8 thick metal barrier to include a vandal-resistant box to protect the padlock and door latch. Every free-standing building will also have a low voltage magnetic door locking |
