Description | This Request for Quotes (RFQ) is issued by the South Dakota Science and Technology Authority (SDSTA) for General Services related to maintaining the surface property at the Sanford Underground Research Facility (SURF). SDSTA is a quasi-governmental agency established by the State of South Dakota to operate and manage the SURF in Lead, South Dakota. A firm will be selected for a time-and-material type contract based on the labor categories and equipment costs listed on the provided Rate Sheet. Documents included with this RFQ include: A. SDSTA Rate Sheet B. Contractor ESH Qualification Questionnaire C. Draft Contract (2022-33) SDSTA is seeking quotes to provide all the supervision, labor, materials, tools, equipment, and transportation services required to complete each desired task on the surface property of the SURF. These services will be on an on-call, as-needed basis which include, but are not limited to the following tasks: General Construction Services o Services can include building repair, fence repair, installation, and other basic upkeep around the property. Excavation Services o Services can include roadway repairs, aggregate removal and delivery, digging associated with underground utilities, concrete repair, and installation. Fabrication Services Services can include handrail repair and installation along with machine and equipment protection or guarding. Snow Removal o Includes various parking lots and roadways on the property. o Service will only be required during large storms in which South Dakota Science and Technology Authority (SDSTA) staff need additional help. A Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) selection process will be used to award this contract. The selection criteria are itemized in the attached Rate Sheet and bidders are encouraged to add any additional labor categories or equipment they deem necessary to complete tasks after visiting the SURF property. Questions are due by 5 p.m. MT on September 13, 2022. The quote period may be extended at the discretion of SDSTA based on the quantity and/or complexity of questions. Any notices of extension of time to respond will be distributed to all prospective offerors by SDSTA. All communications regarding this procurement between RFQ release and award shall be directed by email to Benjamin Brack at bbrack@sanfordlab.org. Communications with other SDSTA staff regarding this procurement in advance of the award are not allowed. |
