Architect-Engineer (A-E) Services for the Design and Other Professional Services Necessary to Rehabilitate, Modernize, and Develop New or Existing Mechanical Systems for Facilities and Ground Support

This acquisition is for the Architect-Engineer (A-E) Services for the Design and Other Professional Services Necessary to Rehabilitate, Modernize, and Develop New or Existing Mechanical Systems for Facilities and Ground Support Systems through a regionalized Multiple Award, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ). Services may be required at Kennedy Space Center (KSC), including Vandenberg Air Force Base (VAFB) and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station (CCAFS); John C. Stennis Space Center (SSC); Langley Research Center (LaRC); Johnson Space Center (JSC), including White Sands Test Facility (WSTF); Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC), including Michoud Assembly Facility (MAF); Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC); Wallops Flight Facility (WFF), and other NASA assets; and launch or landing sites worldwide. The IDIQ contract scope of work includes A-E services with a major emphasis on ordinary and complex mechanical systems, including, but not limited to, the following: preparation of studies, designs, specifications, reports and other contract documents for construction of Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC); fire protection; water distribution and waste water collection; and analysis of pneumatic systems, environmental control systems (e.g., specialized high pressure air and GN2 single pass purge systems), steam systems, cryogenic systems, and systems for storage and distribution of high pressure gases. These services may apply to modifications/refurbishment of existing mechanical systems and work in multiple project phases. These mechanical systems may be integrated into small or large scale commercial buildings, industrial facilities, launch facilities, or laboratories.
