Description | This project is for the provision of all labor, material, equipment, and other incidental work required to complete this project. Other incidental work required includes any and all items necessary to ensure a complete, usable and maintainable final product including the demolition work not specifically stated elsewhere in this Statement of Work (SOW). Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: - The Contractor shall separate the lead and rubber from the firing range backstop. - The Contractor shall HEPA vacuum the floor, walls and baffles. - The Contractor shall wet wipe the shooting stalls, floor, target carriers, rail and control system. - The Contractor shall re-install rubber onto the backstop. - The Contractor shall add rubber to the backstop as required to meet the minimum fill level. - The Contractor shall apply fire retardant to all rubber in the backstop. - The Contractor shall recycle the lead through an approved recycle facility and provide appropriate documentation to the Government showing proper recycling. - The Contractor shall place all Waste (lead and other Hazardous Waste) into containers provided by NAS Jacksonville Hazardous Waste Division (Part B). The containers shall be turned in to Part B when filled or upon completion of work. NAS Jacksonville is classified as a Large Quantity Generator of Hazardous Waste, and as such, must provide for controlled disposal and accountability of all Hazardous Waste. - Contractor shall be responsible for accumulating all Hazardous Waste, turning it in to Part B. Contractor shall be responsible for paying Part B fees for disposal of Hazardous Waste. $1.50 per pound is an accurate cost per pound for estimating cost of disposal to Part B. The contractor shall visit the project site; collect required data about existing structures, surroundings, appurtenance and all items that will be affected by this project or related to this project; and verify existing conditions. The contractor shall be responsible for the verification of the actual site condition and the accuracy of this information to ensure adequacy of the design and successful construction. | ||
