Description | All bids over budget, will not be rebidding. The project generally consists of, but is not limited to, the following work at Development 107-002: 1. Replace all existing cast iron wastewater and vent piping with new cast iron piping. 2. Replace all existing electrical switchgear in the electrical closet. 3. Replace all tenant load-center interiors. 4. Convert two apartments for handicap accessibility. 5. Repair front entrance canopy. 6. Replace flooring in all first-floor common areas. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. All bidders must be licensed Contractors as required by 815 KAR 8:010 of the Kentucky Administrative Regulations and as required by the local municipality. All bidders shall provide evidence of a license in the appropriate classification before a bid can be considered. Reference is made to the Instructions to Bidders for Contracts contained in the Project Manual for further bidding information. Bidders must comply with the President's Executive Order Nos. 11246 and 11375, which prohibit discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex, or national origin. Bidders must comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Anti-Kickback Act, and the Contract Work Hour Standard Act. Bidders must certify that they do not, and will not, maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated on a basis of race, color, creed, sex, or national origin. Attention is called to the goals and timetables for minority and female participation. Each prime bidder must deposit with his bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the bid. Bid Bonds and Performance and Payment Bonds must be secured by a guaranty or a surety company listed in the latest issue of U.S. Treasury Circular 570 and shall be within the maximum amount specified for such company in said Circular 570. The “Bid Bond” and the “Performance and Payment Bond” must be issued by a surety company authorized to do business in the state where the project is located and must be listed in U.S. Treasury Circular Attention is called to the fact that no less than the minimum salaries and wages set forth in the, Contract Documents must be paid on this project. The Contract will be subject to the "Section, 3" Clause, see Document 00 72 00, Page 15, calling for utilization of low-income businesses and individuals from the project area where feasible. |
