Description

1) The contractor will be required to furnish all labor and materials necessary to professional paint units as specified by the Housing Authority at turnover (upon tenants moving out of the building. 2) The contractor will be required to prepare all paint surfaces for painting. This shall include filling all holes, removal of all stains (including priming stains and patches with a primer/sealer to prevent bleeding). 3) Protect other surfaces, items or materials, whether to be painted or not, against damage by painting (cabinets, fixtures, counters, light fixtures, appliances, heating grills and elements, etc.). 4) The contractor will be required to adequately prime all surfaces with one (1) complete coat of primer and provide two (2) coats of egg shell finish (latex based) paint on all wall surfaces and two coats of flat paint (latex based) on all ceilings. The type of paint shall be in accordance with the" Paint Specification" section (work shall include all closets). All paint must be applied in accordance with the manufacturer's instruction. 5) The contractor shall be required to paint each unit within 48 hours ofbeing notified by the SHA office staff. All work must be performed between the hours of 8:30 AM to 4:00PM-Monday to Friday. 6) The contractor will be required to remove all related painting debris at the conclusion of each work day. All chemicals must be discarded according to any and all applicable federal, state or local laws. 7) The contractor shall paint other areas (interior and exterior) as directed by the owner. The price shall be based upon an hourly labor rate, plus the cost of materials. 8) Upon completion of painting, clean all glass and paint spattered surfaces. Remove spattered paint by washing and scraping, using care not to scratch or damage adjacent surfaces. 9) Payment shall be made upon the inspection and acceptance of the work by the maintenance supervisor
