Description | The Project includes the following Work: Contract No. 2022-01: Wastewater Treatment Plan Improvements -- Phase 2 Base Bid o Installation of automatic headworks screening unit, complete in place o Concrete foundation for future building o Steel platform for headworks o Connect existing 8" forcemain to new headworks o Connect existing 12" discharge to new headworks o Connect existing 4" plant forcemain to new headworks o Electrical system improvements o Installation of approximately 225 LF 2" PVC waterline o Installation of one (1) 2" water meter o Installation of one (1) backflow prevention device o Installation five (5) 2" Gate valves o Installation of two (2) frost-free hydrants o SCADA Improvements and installation of influent flow meter at pump station #4 Additive Alternates 1. New headworks building, 32' x 54', complete in place 2. Electrical system improvements, complete 3. Electric entry gate, complete in place Deductive Alternate 1. New headworks building enclosure, 32' x 54' A five percent (5%) Bid Bond or certified cashier's check must accompany all Bids. After Bid opening, a Bidder may not withdraw his Bid for a period of sixty (60) days. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above. Cost does not include shipping charges. Bid documents can be examined at Syracuse Racine Regional Sewer District Office located at 405 Main Steet, Racine, Ohio 45771. Upon Issuing Office's receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents or electronic documents on compact disk will be sent via the prospective Bidder's delivery service. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method chosen. Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. American Iron and Steel American Iron and Steel requirements do not apply to this project. The Bid opening procedures shall be a two-envelope system. The system shall consist of two separate and distinct envelopes each with proper identification. The envelopes shall be identified as "Bid Opening Requirements" (first envelope) and the other as "Bid Proposal" (second envelope). The first envelope must be submitted in a sealed envelope containing Bid Bond, Certificate of Compliance, Power of Attorney and all other necessary documents as specified in the Bidder's Checklist. The second envelope must be a separate sealed envelope containing the Form of Proposal for the contract that is being bid. Both the first envelope and second envelope must have the following information in the lower left-hand corner: Name and Address of Bidder, Bid for Contract No. 2022-01 -- Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements -- Phase 2, Opening Time 10:00 a.m., L.P.T The first envelope will be opened first and Bid Bond, Power of Attorney and Certificate of Compliance and other required documents as listed on the Bidder's Checklist will be checked to make sure that all the documents are in order. If the documents are found to be in order, the second envelope containing the Bid will be opened and publicly read aloud. If the documents are not in order, then the second envelope shall be returned to the Bidder unopened. At that time, the Engineer will declare the bidder non-responsive. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. |
