El Capitan State Beach Site Improvements - California Department of Parks and Recreation

Improve the El Capitan State Beach entrance by widening and enhancing sections of the entire length of the existing entrance road, improving and reconstructing the trail that runs adjacent to the road, replacing the existing culvert spanning El Capitan Creek with a bridge, upgrading the culvert near the kiosk, replacing the existing kiosk and office building with an upgraded kiosk facility, and adding a second entrance lane near the kiosk. Plans also include a new park entry kiosk and restroom, entry road improvements and a new bridge. As of October 12, 2022, this project is being considered for preliminary and final approval by the County of Santa Barbara.
