Description | This Contract provides for the replacement of existing infiltration facilities at two locations, installation of pretreatment and water quality filtration structures, installation of stormwater conveyance pipes and catch basins needed to route flows to new pretreatment, water quality, and infiltration facilities, and other work. Of the two infiltration facilities planned for replacement, Infiltration Pipe #1, is located along Blueberry Lane approximately 650 feet west of the intersection with N. Kelsey Street, and the Children's Park Infiltration Facility is located at the Blueberry Children's Park. The project area potentially contains archaeological or historical objects that may have significance from a historical or scientific standpoint. The Contractor shall conduct its operations in a manner that will accommodate such activities, including the reserving of portions of the work area for site testing, exploratory operations and recovery and removal of such objects as directed by the Engineer. All excavation work shall be bid under the assumptions that the top 3 feet of soil shall be excavated in 4-inch to 6-inch lifts. This cost shall be included in the unit price for each item requiring excavation into native soils. Est. Completion Date: Dec. 8, 2023 All Bid Proposals must be submitted on the forms furnished in the Contract Provisions, and each must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond (with authorized surety company as surety) made payable to the City of Monroe in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid including sales tax, and all listed additives and alternates, if any. Cash will not be accepted. |
