Description | University of New Mexico Natural History Science Center (NHSC) - Building 19 is requesting proposals for a new Compact Storage System for paleontological specimens in Room 106. A recently completed major capital project has renovated the building for its use as an interdisciplinary teaching/learning lab for Earth and Planetary Sciences, Museum Studies, Biology and Museum of Southwestern Biology. The successful bidder will provide design, fabrication, shipping and installation services to supply a functional system that provides long-term storage of paleontological specimens and meets Federal Requirements for the maintenance of vertebrate and invertebrate fossil materials. Collection materials are primarily composed of lithified, sub-lithified, and permineralized fossils, as well as unfossilized bone. |
