Description | Question Deadline 05/19/2023 at 5:00 PM CT Major Maintenance and Rehabilitation project for the Southside Water Treatment Plant. Work of the Project includes, and not limited to, construction, rehabilitation, modifications, and/or replacement of equipment, piping, appurtenances, structural concrete work, excavation, electrical and instrumentation control systems, etc. throughout the Southside Wastewater Treatment Plant for the 2020 Major Maintenance and Rehabilitation Project. a. Improvements at Sulfur Dioxide (SO2) and Chlorine (Cl2) Buildings including, but not limited to: 1) Removal and disposal of existing SO2 fill lines 2) Removal and disposal of piping/appurtenances inside SO2 feeder and SO2 evaporator rooms 3) Removal of existing pipe protection structures (outside) 4) Structural concrete repairs 5) Installation of new SO2 fill lines, inclusive of trenching, backfilling, compaction 6) Installation of new SO2 piping/appurtenances loop inside SO2 feeder and SO2 evaporator rooms 7) Relocation of existing SO2 Mask Unit 8) Installation of new pipe protection structures (outside) 9) Installation of new ductbank and raceway 10) Asphalt pavements road repairs 11) Traffic control 12) Erosion protection 13) Grading 14) Miscellaneous clear/grub/seed b. Improvements at Screening and Thickening Facility including, but not limited to: 1) Multi-Rake Screens and Washer Compactor (a) Removal and disposal of existing basket screens, inclusive of all mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and controls (b) Removal and disposal of existing handrails, steel plates, fillets inside screen channels (c) Install new Multi-Rake Bar Screens and washer/compactors, inclusive of all mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and controls. Install miscellaneous NPW piping and appurtenances. (d) Existing dumpster modifications (e) Structural concrete improvements and repairs (f) Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls improvements. (g) Power Distribution System Study 2) Electrical Room 106 and MCC Rom 107 (a) Removal and disposal of existing HVAC system (b) Structural improvements and repairs 3) Electrical Room 100 (a) Install new positive pressurizing unit (PPU) (b) Miscellaneous piping (c) Structural improvements and repairs 4) Odor Control - Biofilters (a) Removal and disposal of existing organic biofilter media, HDPE floor plenum modules, existing irrigation system, humification system, and exiting ramp sidewalls (b) Structural concrete improvements and repairs (c) Install new biofilter media, new HDPE floor plenum modules, new irrigation system (heat traced and insulated), new humification system, and new existing HDPE liner (d) Traffic control 5) Gravity Belt Thickeners (GBT) (a) Rehabilitation of Gravity Belt Thickeners (GBT) No. 1, 3, 4, and 6 frame, bearings, rollers, and accessories. (b) Removal and re-installation of GBT enclosures (c) Miscellaneous piping and appurtenances repairs (d) Structural concrete repairs 6) Seal Water for Existing Thickening Sludge Pumps (a) Removal and disposal of existing NPW piping, fittings, and appurtenances (b) Removal and disposal of existing pressure reducing check valve (c) Install new NPW SCH 80 PVC piping, fittings, appurtenances, pipe supports, and instrumentation (d) Install new 10" pressure reducing check valve and valve support 7) Electrical Improvements (a) Demolish existing main substation switchgear (b) Demolish MCC-1 and MCC-2 located in Electrical Room 106 (c) Demolish Panel PP1 and PP2 located in Electrical Room 106 (d) Demolish MCC-3 located in Electrical Room 100 (e) Demolish Panel PP3 located in Electrical Room 100 (f) Install new main substation switchgear, including Vista switch, two substation transformers, and switchgear with outdoor housing. (g) Install new MCC-1, MCC-2, MCC-3, Panel PP1, PP2, and PP3. (h) Install four new VFDs for the sludge pumps. (i) Install all new feeder and load conductors, primarily in existing conduit. 8) Instrumentation and Control (a) Demolish existing PLC-9000 and PLC-9002 located in Electrical Rooms 106 and 107. (b) Install new PLC hardware and enclosure for PLC-9000 and 9002. (c) Install new network enclosure in Electrical Room 100 and run fiber for new MultiRake Bar Screen control panels. 2. Hickory Creek Interceptor a. Hickory Creek Interceptor - 60-inch Wastewater Interceptor Replacement 1) Installation of 60-inch RTRP extending approximately 2400 LF, with 2280 LF parallel to existing RCP Hickory Creek Interceptor and 120 LF in same trench as existing 60-inch PCCP Hickory Creek Interceptor 2) Establish connection of 60-inch RTRP to existing Special Manhole B 3) Bypass pumping 4) Install replacement of approximately 175 LF of 18-inch PVC filtrate pressure main 5) Relocate connection of 18-inch filtrate line to new 60-inch RTRP 6) Relocate connection of 30-inch plant sewer line to new 60-inch RTRP 7) Relocate connection of 8-inch condensate drain line to new 60-inch RTRP 8) Establish connection of new 60-inch RTRP to existing Hickory Creek Interceptor 9) Point Repair 18-inch HDPE Sludge Transfer Force Main 10) Coordinate temporary interruptions of service within defined shutdown parameters 11) Restore grounds along pipeline alignments to pre-existing conditions 12) Traffic control 13) Erosion protection 14) Grading 15) Miscellaneous clear/grub/seed 3. Additive Alternates a. Phase I, II, And III Primary Pump Stations Clarifier Sludge Piping Riser Replacement and/or Modification including, but not limited to: 1) Removal and disposal of existing piping and appurtenances 2) Demolition of existing concrete floor area near piping/appurtenance 3) Structural concrete repairs 4) Installation of new piping and appurtenances b. Anaerobic Digesters 9, 11 And 13 Roof Insulation Replacement (Spark Free Facility) including, but not limited to: 1) Removal and disposal of existing roof insulation 2) Protection of existing piping/appurtenances (gas piping system and others) 3) Installation of new roof insulation 4) Miscellaneous piping/appurtenances work c. Lagoon A Pump Station Valve and Gates Rehabilitation And Sidestream Connection Improvements, but not limited to: 1) Lagoon A Pump Station (a) Removal and disposal of existing piping, appurtenances, stem, guides, wheel and operators inside dry well (b) Removal and disposal of stems, guides, supports, wheels, and operators for 5 existing sluice gates inside wet well. Sluice gates to remain. (c) Removal and disposal of existing steel grating, handrails, existing concrete corbels (d) Installation of new piping, appurtenances, stems, guides, wheels and operators inside dry well (e) Installation of new stems, guides, supports, wheels, and operators for 5 existing sluice gates inside wet well. (f) Structural concrete repairs (g) Installation of new sump pump, inclusive of all piping/appurtenances (h) Miscellaneous electrical improvements (i) Traffic control 2) Lagoon A Divider Walls including: (a) Removal and disposal of stems, guides, supports, wheels, and operators for 4 existing sluice gates at divider walls. Sluice gates to remain. (b) Installation of new stems, guides, supports, wheels, and operators for 4 existing sluice gates at divider walls. (c) Structural concrete repairs 3) Sidestream Connection Improvements: (a) Install new sidestream connection (piping, appurtenances, etc.) (b) Asphalt pavements road repairs (c) Traffic control (d) Erosion protection (e) Grading (f) Miscellaneous clear/grub/seed d. Lagoon B Pump Station Improvements including, but not limited to: 1) Removal and disposal of existing below/above ground discharge piping, appurtenances, supports 2) Demolish existing Lagoon B Pump Station (mechanical, structural, electrical) 3) Sludge removal and shoring 4) Install new above ground discharge piping appurtenances, supports, and other miscellaneous work 5) Install new Lagoon B Pump Station (pumps, piping, flow meter, appurtenances, sluice gates, stems, guides, supports, operators, grating, handrails, new cast-in-place concrete structure, etc.) 6) Structural concrete improvements and repairs 7) Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls improvements. 8) Power Distribution System Study 9) Asphalt/Concrete pavements road repairs 10) Traffic control 11) Erosion protection 12) Grading 13) Miscellaneous clear/grub/seed M/WBE participation on this contract is as follows: Construction: 32.00% Final completion- 1095 calendar days |
